The output power is the amount of continuous power the Geneforce can provide at any one second. The Surge Power is the amount of extra power the Geneforce can provide for a few seconds to crank engines and motors. The Stored Electrical Energy is the amount of stored power in the Geneforce battery reserves. The service life is the typical amount of years before the Geneforce requires maintenance which consist of replacing the batteries.
How is it powered?
The Geneforce Power System is a battery powered generator that is available with a service life of 7-8 years without any maintenance or 12-16 years without any maintenance. When a power failure occurs, the Geneforce utilizes the battery reserves to power your appliances and equipment. After the power has been restored, the Geneforce can be recharged with a wall outlet, solar panels, wind turbine or gas generator.
How does it work?
The Geneforce includes a 30 amp input plug. Simply, plug your equipment directly into the Geneforce power outlets. Next, plug the Geneforce Power System into a wall outlet. When a power failure occurs, the Geneforce will automatically provide power to your equipment. Once the power is restored, the Geneforce will automatically resume charging.
How long will it last and how long does it take to recharge?
The GEN-400 powered a home for 3.5 days that was using a small refrigerator, 26” flat screen TV, a DVD player, phone charger, computer and 4 fluorescent lamps on a single charge. After the 3.5 days the Geneforce only required approximately 3.5 hours to recharge to full capacity. The Stored Electrical Energy watts described for each Geneforce Power System will assist in determining the amount of time the power reserves will provide reserved electricity. The higher the Stored Electrical Energy, the more power is available in the reserves. The Geneforce can usually recharge in a few hours. However, solar panels can be utilized to maintain the Geneforce Power System fully charged while it is being used.
How can it be recharged?
The Geneforce features a variety of recharging capabilities. First, the Geneforce can be recharged with any standard wall outlet. Second, solar panels that can be placed in the balcony, patio or terrace. The solar panels connect directly into the Geneforce Power System via a positive and negative cable. Third, the Geneforce can be recharged with a gas generator. Lastly, the Geneforce can be recharged with a wind turbine.
How long will the Geneforce last with a Solar Panel?
Some Geneforce units can remain charged indefinitely if enough solar panels and the correct charge controller are utilized. Our smallest generator can provide approximately 400W per hour or ~3kw per day of solar power. That is equal to approximately 60% of the units stored electrical energy (battery reserves). Some Geneforce units feature solar chargers with larger capacities that can provide 2.5 kW of solar power per hour. After calculating, 2.5 kW per hour could sum up to 12 Kw - 15 kW of free solar power each day.
Who makes the Solar Panels?
The solar panels are available in a variety of capacities ranging from 12 volts to 48 volts. Some Geneforce units utilize 12V solar panels only. Larger units use 12V and 24V solar panels. Some Geneforce Power Systems can support 36V and 48V solar panels through their adjustable voltage feature. Most solar panels feature a 25 year warranty, are weather resistant and work in any type of weather condition. The solar panels weigh approximately 35-50 lbs and can be placed on a stand (“rack”), pole mounted, roof mounted or placed on the floor and that allows you to move it into and out of a home at night.
What appliances can be powered with the Geneforce?

What is the maintenance and lifespan of a Geneforce?
The Geneforce is a maintenance free system with a battery service life of 12-16 years without replacement. If the Geneforce Power System is discharged 20% on every occasion it is used, it will have a lifespan of 5,700 uses. If the Geneforce is discharged 50% on every use then it will have a lifespan of 1,800 uses. Similarly, if the Geneforce is discharged to 100% on every use then it will have a lifespan of 425 uses. Most Geneforce owners utilize the Geneforce Power System only 2-3 times per year.
